Summary
This film exposes the political and economic reasons for the growing phenomenon of working poor in Canada-- those who rely on food banks to make ends meet, the under-employed who lack employment benefits or job security. Their employers are often multinationals such as MacDonalds or Walmart. Host Mary Walsh interviews working poor and examines Canadian labor and corporate tax laws which seem to favor corporations and ignore workers rights. Walsh also visits Ireland and Sweden, comparing government economic policies and working conditions found in these two nations with those of Canada
